A blog dedicated to the emperor of all rice dishes, Biryani. Which rice dish can claim the throne. I can't think of any. Biryani has not only character, taste, elegance and sophistication, it is also backed by 100s if not 1000s years of history. Trully a dish fits for the Emperor
I am 40 now, of good health, not rich but comfortable. I am in professional business. I love to cook, eat, read, write and watch old Malay movies. The new movies, sorry, none that I like. If I am allowed only one profession to do in my life I would have chosen cooking biryani. This is something which I can do even without being paid. I have not cooked for big functions ( no opportunity yet, not that I can't) but I have no problem cooking for say 50 to 100 provided I am provided with helper/s, right utensils and a bit of space.
